A $5 billion Moon-shaped resort is coming to Dubai

Have you ever dreamed about traveling to the Moon? Well, your dreams might come true, and for this journey, you don’t even need to leave the Earth. A Canada-based architectural firm, Moon World Resorts Inc., has released visuals for a $5 billion resort that resembles the Earth’s sole natural satellite.

The new giant structure, known as Moon Dubai, will be 224 meter-tall (735-foot). The mixed-use development will serve as a luxury vacation destination and host events and conventions. In addition, the project also includes a 10-acre surface that will surround the “Moon” resort and welcome anyone who wants to explore space travel. 

For more exclusive access, visitors can book a stay at “Sky Villas”. According to Robb Report, the booking comes with access to the on-site nightclub, public lounge, spa center, event center, and a “moon shuttle” that will take you around the resort. And if you fall in love with the idea of waking up next to the Moon, you can purchase one of 300 luxury units and become a member of a private club. 

Moon Dubai will be lit up at night to mimic the phases of an actual satellite. The developers are planning to bring this cosmic project to four locations around the world, with the first one in Dubai. The “Moon” might also appear in the United States, Singapore, and Spain. 

The construction of Moon Dubai might take 48 months with 12 months pre-development. Once the development is completed, it will be able to accommodate at least 2.5 million visitors. The Moon Dubai is expected to open its door to guests as early as 2027-2028.
