Sarah Jessica Parker’s Amagansett cottage is available for rent this summer

The summer season is approaching, and more New Yorkers are planning their getaway from the city. With its endless beaches, lavish mansions, and countless art galleries, the Hamptons has long been known as the go-to vacation destination for NYC residents. Those heading to the East End of Long Island this summer have a chance to book Sarah Jessica Parker’s vacation home. 

The charming 3-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage sits in Amagansett, New York, minutes from a secluded beach. Sarah Jessica Parker’s home already hosted two guests last year after appearing on Booking.com. However, it was available for just a few days. This year, the star of Sex and the City invites you to stay in her Hamptons cottage for an entire summer, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 

This Amagansett estate spans 1,200 square feet. Inside, you will find a combined living and dining room, a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and a cozy kitchen. The 1940’s beach cottage also has a spacious patio with barbecue and lounge chairs, ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining. In addition, guests will also have access to an outdoor shower.

The celebrity escape comes with a celebrity price tag. However, it appears that this rate is in line with similar rentals in the area. The vacation home is ready to welcome guests from the last Monday of May to the first Monday of September for $95,000. There is also an option to book a shorter stay. The property is available for $45,000 for the month of July or for $35,000 from August through Labor Day.

The Hamptons rentals are notorious for their steep prices. This part of Long Island became a prime vacation spot during the summer of 2020 and 2021, when international travel was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the demand for Hamptons homes has gone down a bit this year, a typical 3-bedroom cottage in this area still rents for $60,000 and $100,000 for the summer, according to CNBC.
