The Metaverse builds a Hollywood movie studio

The metaverse is taking over new industries, including film. The Sandbox gaming world has teamed up with Meta Hollywood, the largest virtual community of movie fans and film producers, to create the first-ever virtual movie studio. 

The Hollywood-inspired studio will be similar to the real-life one. Guests will be invited to tour horror and action movie sets, visit holiday-themed environments, and attend red carpet premieres. Meta Hollywood plans to build the movie studio on a plot of a digital land in The Sandbox metaverse.

Meta Hollywood has both an online and offline presence. The community invites movie lovers to learn from industry professionals, sneak a peek at the behind-the-scenes process and use HWOOD tokens to crowdfund independent movies and projects. In addition, Meta Hollywood also has access to the collection of over 60,000 memorabilia items, including the hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II, the Jumanji game board, and the GI from The Karate Kid.
