The legendary English pub from “Ted Lasso” is heading to Airbnb

The sports comedy-drama, Ted Lasso, has won the hearts of millions of viewers and eleven Emmy Awards. Season two of this highly-acclaimed Apple TV+ show ended on October 8, 2021. Now, while fans are waiting for the new season of Ted Lasso, Airbnb offers them a chance to book an exclusive one-night stay at the Crown & Anchor in Richmond, London.

The unique experience will be hosted by none other than the pub owner, Mae, who is portrayed by Annette Badland. The booking includes an overnight stay at The Prince’s Head, the real-life location of the fictional Crown & Anchor. Guests would be invited to enjoy authentic pub fare, try on the AFC Richmond gear, participate in traditional bar activities, such as darts and pinball, and challenge others to a game of chess at Ted’s favorite table.

“The Crown & Anchor is an essential fixture for AFC Richmond – it’s where friends, colleagues and teammates come together to celebrate our triumphs or cope with the agony of relegation,” said Annette Badland. “That’s why I’m pleased to host guests (and take the night off!). Time to give others the opportunity to experience the same camaraderie and sense of community that Coach Lasso inspires. After all, we’re Richmond ‘til we die!”

The Crown & Anchor became one of the most recognizable filming locations of the show. It sits just around the corner from Ted’s apartment. The exterior shots of this iconic location were actually filmed at The Prince’s Head, a 300 year-old pub. For this unique experience, the Prince’s Head will transform its back rooms into spacious bedrooms decorated with Ted Lasso props. 

The booking for this unique stay will open on Tuesday, March 21 at 1:00 PM EST. There will be three available dates: October 23, 24, and 25, 2023. The beloved Crown & Anchor pub could accommodate up to four guests at a time for just £11 (USD 13). This price is a nod to the number of players on the football pitch. The booking is available via Airbnb.
