After becoming the world’s tallest residential building, New York’s Central Park Tower aims to set a new record. One of its residences, the penthouse, hit the market for $250. This is the highest-ever home sale price in the US.

The three-story penthouse takes up the 129th, 130th, and 131st floors of the building, offering unparalleled views of Central Park and midtown Manhattan. The unique residence has 7 bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, two kitchens, soaring 27-feet ceilings, and a dramatic spiral staircase. The future owner will also have access to the tallest private terrace in the world, which spans more than 1,433 square feet.

Once you step inside this penthouse, you will be greeted by a reception gallery. The first level of this sophisticated home offers a variety of entertainment options. You are invited to check out a new Netflix show in the media room or head to the observatory for incredible night sky views. The upper floor of this stunning apartment is currently configured as a private ballroom, which reaches 1,416 feet in the air, almost as tall as the tip of the Empire State Building.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Gary Barnett, the founder and president of Extell Development, which built this mega-tower, admitted that $250 million is an ambitious figure. However, Barnett believes that this condo is worth it. If sold, this penthouse will surpass the previous record-breaking deal, which took place in 2019, when billionaire Ken Griffin paid $238 million for a condo at 220 Central Park South.

Central Park Tower rises more than 1,500 feet above Manhattan. According to the developer, the condominium offers several unique amenities, including a private restaurant and a park. Residents of this record-breaking building also have access to a 60-foot-long outdoor swimming pool, fitness and wellness centers, screening room, and multiple lounges.
